Good employees sometimes aren’t always the best drivers.
It’s the same with any problem employee – the cost to replace, recruit, and retrain an employee is much more than the cost to provide remedial assistance – in this case to improve their problem driving.
Our Remedial Driver Improvement Program enables you, as an employer, to have a certified instructor assess the employee’s driving strengths and weaknesses and provide immediate feedback and tips on improvement needs to the driver followed by a written assessment to the supervisor.
How does it work? The Eco Fleet Training Solutions instructor rides along for a half or full shift with your employee to assess what types of habits the problem driver might have that are causing multiple citations or collisions.
Our instructors evaluate employee drivers and utilize a standardized grid form to assess various behaviors including level of risk taking, problem or hazard recognition and responses to distractions – both in and out of vehicle.
At the end of the driver’s day or shift, our certified fleet instructor will review both positive and negative areas that were observed during the drive and provide a written report to management as follow up which may contain additional training or other recommendations.
